i have a question, my 93 LT1 engine has 85k on it, it is completely stock as far as internals....i am looking at getting a Vortech V2 SQ-Trim Supercharger with Aftercooler...would it be ok with stock internals? it will put it up around 450 HP, will i need new crank or Rods?

This subject has been beat to death but here we go, 5-6psi on a stock block will probably be OK with a good tune, Tune being the key word here. The top ring land on the stock pistons are weak so if you get any detonation (Bad Tune) your looking at a rebuild. Some guys get away with blowers on a stock motor for a long time, Some last a week before blown motor. If you go blown just save your money for a rebuild, It's not if you will need to rebuild, more like when. If you search you will find a lot of info on this subject
