RickS 08-28-2005, 07:54 PM I bought a used wet kit with a tnt plate. it did not have instructions with it so i went to the tnt website, however i could not find application specefic installs.
so far i have the bottle mounted, and the nitrous line routed to the engine bay
I am new to nitrous and have a coupple of questions.
1.) on my tnt throttle body plate there is no air bleed hole. i thought it was needed?
2.) on the 2 jets, how do i tell which side to put nitrous and wich to put fuel?
3.) where do you all mount and route your purge solonoids / lines?
(I'd like to keep the purge discreete)
4.) is it legal for me to run my nitrous line through the passenger side under the plastic door pannel? (just a weekend test and tune car)

Air bleed hole for what?
My NX shark nozzle told me which side to put N2O/fuel in. I don't think it matters, but it's nice to know so you don't get the fuel/N2O jets mixed up with the lines.
Purge solenoid has to be inline right after the nitrous solenoid. I got a 3/16" brake line w/compression fitting from NAPA and drilled a hole in the cowl and ran it up in front of the wiper blades. Not too noticeable and a convenient location.
Technically, NHRA rules state that you can not run nitrous lines through the car. My local track is not very strict and they wouldn't bother looking under the car, so I hid it underneath the carpet and went under the kick panel (the one you speak of).
Hope this helps!
RickS 08-28-2005, 11:51 PM Air bleed hole for what?
the hole from the front of the tb, between the throttle butterflies,
here os a pic for reference, i dont know what the purpose of the hole is. but if i put the plate on it would cover up the intake' side
part of the iac system?
Cmr0z28 08-29-2005, 12:39 AM Looking at pics of my intake....now I see what you are talking about.
I'm not sure what it does or why it's there, but if no one has said anything yet or had any problems using the TNT system, I wouldn't worry about it.
LWillmann 08-29-2005, 04:04 PM On my nozzle, I believe the nitrous gets the straight shot to the nozzle opening, and the fuel goes in at an angle. My nozzle is a NOS brand piece, so yours might be more like a Y than mine.
On the purge, putting the purge solenoid AFTER (bottle -> nitrous solenoid -> purge solenoid) won't work right, since the car would be spraying nitrous in order to purge. My solenoids only have one inlet and one outlet, so you can't hook the solenoids directly together. Here's how I did mine:
bottle -> to a Tee, one side of the tee to the input of the purge solenoid, then out of that solenoid to my purge outlet.
On the other side of the tee, I put the inlet side of the main nitrous solenoid, and then out to the nozzle.
The Tee leaves maybe 1" between the solenoids, so when I purge, I'm reasonably certain that all the air is out.
And the air bleed hole that you're talking about is the IAC passage I believe. It really should be there, but I wouldn't go drilling that plate to put it there.

That's incorrect....at least with my NX solenoids it is.
The N2O solenoid flows straight through so the nitrous will flow straight through to the purge solenoid without it opening.
I have no experience with the TNT solenoids, so I'm not calling you out on this or anything, just stating my experience with the NX. Here is a link to how mine is set up...

LWillmann 08-29-2005, 10:31 PM Sorry, I should have mentioned that I was speaking about NOS brand solenoids.
From what you are describing, the NX solenoids have a "pass-thru" for a purge setup that runs seperately from the actual nitrous injection part? If so, that's cool.
EDIT: And from that PDF, the first setup is very similar to the way mine is run. The nitrous solenoid is on the straight leg of the T, rather than one solenoid at each end and the input on the upright leg. The second setup shows the straight through deal, with the main nitrous feed coming out of the bottom of the main nitrous solenoid.
