Tire shine?GT KILLER 08-28-2005, 06:14 PM Which tire shine do you guys use? I was looking at some of the spray/non-wipe stuff.....any thoughts? AW/whiteZ-28 08-28-2005, 07:20 PM Jet wet is the best stuff I have ever used. Just spray on let it dry for a couple minutes, and it stays shiny until I have to wash my car again. Have some news paper with you though to block over spray from getting on paint. It makes little greasy spots if you don't. mystic-t/a 08-28-2005, 11:26 PM Meguiars NXT insane tire shine works great! Goes on good and stays on the tires (doesnt sling). flatlander757 08-29-2005, 09:57 PM I like Meguiars Hot Shine tire shine. It's a basic spray on and works well. I try to use tire spray when I know I won't be driving for about 4 hours or more because it will sling everywhere and have little greasy spots everywhere. I've been told not to use silicone based tire spray, but it lasts longer and shines better I think... but it looks horrible when it does wear off... I used the Eagle 1 tire shine before the Hot Shine and it would completely wear off after about 5-6 days or so, the Hot Shine will become less shiney over the same course of time, but it only becomes a dull shine if anything, still looks very good though. ZaneO 08-31-2005, 12:09 PM Zaino Z16, Meguiar's Natural Shine, and Armor All original are my favorite dressings. I apply all of them with a tire swipe. unvc92camarors 09-08-2005, 09:55 PM Ehhh, Armor All is ok, I use the Tire Foam stuff from time to time, and it's not too bad, no sling from what I notice. One product I reccommend you stay away from is the DuPont Teflon tire dressing. I got some thinking "well, it might keep the grime off the tires." Well, turns out it is a pain to apply (always gets on wheels and everywhere else) and it slings. Durability wise it's great, but that's not enough for me to offset the disadvantages. I wanted to get the Stoners stuff but I couldn't find it anywhere. Any suggestions on places that carry it. I've tried almost every place here. bacon 09-09-2005, 12:05 AM wet n black is good but only lasts for few days moparman 09-09-2005, 08:10 AM I liked the Stoner's More Shine Less Time, but can't find it anymore. :( meissenation 09-09-2005, 08:28 AM I use a whole bunch of different products, try something different each time. I like the Meguiar's NXT tire shine product, but if you let it dry on a powdercoated rim (or put it on while the tire is in direct sunlight) it REALLY dulls the finish of the wheel until you get it off (obviously) but it keeps a shine forever and I haven't noticed it really slinging off at all. moparman 09-09-2005, 04:57 PM Finally found the Stoner's at O'reillys. 95 WHITE TRANS 09-09-2005, 04:57 PM I have tried them all zaino is the ultimate. unvc92camarors 09-09-2005, 05:31 PM Finally found the Stoner's at O'reillys. They got an O-Reilleys around here you know? Or a website that I can check the store locations? moparman 09-09-2005, 07:32 PM They have a website with a store locator, but I don't remember the url. lbls1 09-09-2005, 09:36 PM Eagle-1 is an awesome spray-on tire shine! Easily the best stuff OTC that I've seen yet. unvc92camarors 09-10-2005, 09:25 AM Go figure. O'Reilleys has stores in IN and KY but not OH. Well, I"ll keep looking, and if I don't find it, I'll give that Eagle1 stuff a try maybe. I wonder how the NXT will do as well. GT KILLER 09-10-2005, 11:01 AM I ended up getting some Meguiar's Hot Shine and I love it. My dad loves it too and will probably be using some on his cars in the future. O-taka 09-13-2005, 10:58 PM i also like the Eagle 1 black bottle. i also got some Zaino tire dressing, and it's also good BlueV6 09-16-2005, 02:52 PM More Shine, Less Time by Stoners is a good product. No sling, great shine and easy to remove with a simple degreaser, (unlike other spray ons, like black magic, that you couldn't remove with a sandblaster) I didnt want to go with a wipe on tire shine for a while, either, but i went out on a limb and bought the Meguiar's High Gloss Endurance Gel. This stuff is Godlike. Your tires stay shiny for weeks and there is no sling at all. 96m6lt1 09-17-2005, 01:49 AM i love the meguires hot shine!!!!!!!!!it is the closest i have ever seen to sparkle silicone back in the day, that stuff smelled like bubble gum... when its time to roll you gotta use soul glo!!!!!!!!!meguires is to tires like soul glo is to an afro......................... | ||
