SCNGENNFTHGEN 08-26-2005, 10:15 PM Yeah I remember GM  had this (electronic valvetrain) in the works, a long time ago! I was hoping they'd put it out first. :( I believe it included the higher voltage electical system, they were working on. Maybe there's a link to it, some where? Chrome383Z 08-26-2005, 11:08 PM I like the idea of the electronic valvetrain - but I can't get into it. Timing completely controlled by the computer is AWESOME. I just wonder about the longevity and solenoid rates at higher RPM especially if trying to mod it for racing use. Also, another downturn on this is the cost going to be worth the benefit? K.I.S.S. sometimes does have it's merit. Although, it is interesting don't get me wrong. Heatmaker 08-26-2005, 11:14 PM I thought htis rumored technology was going to be in the LS2-LS6.... obviously not... NewbieWar 08-27-2005, 03:14 AM it wouldnt be difficult just electrically powered cams (one intake one exhaust) to controll the degree difference... but if each valve is powered you are asking for trouble... DrewSG 08-27-2005, 04:16 AM I wonder what the gas mileage will be | ||
