Pretty sure that isn't the Blue Devil. Go search the 5th gen forum, I think this came up like a week or two ago in there and they disproved it.

Just curious, were you as annoyed by the Ford GT "hype", as well. Or is it, only the GM stuff, that bothers you? I don't have the dough either, but for the $$$ it seems like the better deal! :D

It's not about what some of us may or not be able to afford so much as the direction Chevy is taking with it. Significance of the brand.. :thumb:

maybe that whine is coming from all the cars that are slower ;)... they just cant do it natuarly asperated like the "regular" z06 can :D

I don't understand why they say that the bottom end was having problems holding the power. I would think they would have more problems with blowing through the top ring land on the piston. Wonder if it is a "roots" or centrifigal blower?

Maybe it's me, but if it looks the same as a Z06, but it's supercharged...why wouldn't you just buy a Z06 and put a supercharger on it? Would probably come out cheaper than the 30-35k premium BD looks like it will come with.

Because its blown out of the factory, thus the damage if any at all caused by the blower during the warrenty is covered. Where's the Aftermarket one would leave you with a 70,000 Lawn decoration.

On another note, my soul is officially for sale! 1 Soul = 1 Blue devil, any takers!

Because IF it exsits and IF it comes out it probably wont look the same. Keep in mind if they are trying to keep things remotely hush-hush, the development mule would look like as much like a "regular" Z06 as possible.

Why build this car? Well, besides providing people like us here something to dream about, think of the publicity push GM and Chevy would get. Remember how much hype surrounded the Viper at it's initial launch?

Maybe it was straight-cut gears?? Dunno why they would use them on a supposed production z06 though.

I am aware it is a regular z06, but I have wondered why it appeared to be giving off a whine. That sound was never accounted for.

I was referencing that to everyone else. :)

Who knows what the wine came from, heck it could have been a bad belt for all we know.
