What color 5th gen will you buy?

Just curious what the trends on color selection are for the members here.

It's so hard for me to answer this question without actually seeing the car... to me, one color can look AWESOME on one car, and terrible on the next.

That being said, I'm a sucker for a deep, rich blue... like my 95 Admiral Blue Corvette was, and my 04 Impulse Blue GTO is... :D

I have owned 2 red Camaro's and 1 black one and while I was looking for my 95' Z, I wanted to get med quazar blue metallic but I couldn't find one with the specifications that I wanted. My favorite color on a car is the admiral blue on the C4's, so if they made a color close to that on a Camaro, I just might have to choose that one.

Hugger Orange ... '09 only color ... just like '99. :D

If Chevy doesn't offer it, it'll leave the factory black. :(

IMO the only color a car should ever be painted is black.

I would take the orange. Black is way too hard to keep clean for more than 24 hours, especially daily driven in PA.

I chose blue with my #1 fav would be LeMans Blue Metallic but if hte color costs too much to put on a Camaro they better offer both Lazer Blue Metallic and Superior Blue Metallic lol. I'd have to go with a coin flip if both of them were on the color choices sheet.

But Lemans Blue all the way!

Lemans Blue.. that color is gorgeous..., however the Navy blue is also unique.. in that it has shades of purple and black at diff. angles and at diff. times of the day so it's a toss up. I'll end up getting blue one way or another though so it's cool with me.

blue--lighter blue. I hate GMs dak blue--looks like there is purple in it :mad:

If the silver ends up being like the current Silverstone color, I will be looking at other colors. For me, it's too white-ish. If it's a Sebring or just a plain silver, I'll be there. Why no Hugger Orange option? That would be high on my list.

My color choices in order:

1. Gunmetal (or any slight bluish/silvery charcoal color)
2. Silver
3. Charcoal
4. Hugger Orange (possibly SOM too)
5. Bright Blue

I would be perfectly happy if white, black and red would take a hiatus of their own. Far too many cars in those colors. Gets kinda boring.

Blue, like the GS Corvette blue, also possibly a blue gray like the Cyclone gray metallic from the current GTO. Also, Hugger orange it has both heritage and a killer look to it! On the other hand, I don't like the metallic burnt orange that seems to be in vogue now.

Without a doubt, orange. C6 Daytona orange, IMO, IS the 4th gen Sunset Orange Metallic :D On my dad's Formula, that color is like icing on the cake. Plus, assuming I do buy a 5th gen, it will match my 30th nicely :) Maybe I need to be looking for a Medium Orange Metallic IROC to keep the theme alive when the 5th gen makes its way home?? :D

my dad's C6 made me fall in love with daytona orange.

C6 Le Mans Blue with white stripes that have a red outline on them. Ala C5 Anni Le Mans Corvette style. :)

all my f-bods have been black so far, so i think i'm sticking with what works.

Black is always the best looking color, but I won't own one again because it's too difficult to keep clean.

My color choices would be:
1) Red (Would probably need to add some black stripes though :D )
2) Black
3) C6 Lemans Blue

I'd like to see a nice bright metallic silver & metallic blue like the GTO's Impulse Blue.

It would be nice to see a Purple Pearl Metallic on another vette or 5th gen.

Well, I just figured out why I ran out of room for the 2 silvers, I listed Yellow twice! :mad: Not that anyone has voted for it, but disregard the 2nd Yellow. Also, the reason I didn't include Hugger Orange was that it wasn't too well received in 99, and the new Daytona Orange color (SOM to you and me ;) ) seems to be quite popular.

I love that color orange. That color is part of the reason I bought the Cavalier I did. I have plans on repainting my 4th gen that color in the future. I hope to park my 5th Gen of the same color beside it. :D

I wanted the 30th anniversary package on my 97 but... I had to settle for Polo Green. So, I'll be getting Arctic white, red racing stripes if they're an option and if not, I'll be shelling out to have them applied.

Either that or Hugger orange.

If it looks like the Crispey rendition.. definitely black

1.) Black W/White deck stripes
2.) Hugger Orange W/Black Deck stripes
3.) Admiral Blue W/White Deck Stripes
4.) Red W/ Either White or Black deck stripes


They best bring those back! because if not I'm heading straight for the aftermarket for a set! Also, if it truly does look 1st genish I'd consider the hockey stripes too...

My hope is for a color scheme NOT shared by every 4-door in Chevy's line up, I'm partial to Blues(Quasar IROC :) ), but the Orange Sunburst on other GM vehicles looks hot, to me!

none of the above......... i want mine in sunset orange metallic like the 04 Colorado and a few other vehicles came in........

The admiral blue with all the pearl in it.

I picked Daytona Sunset Orange Metallic, because I want to be different and stick out from the crowd, then I voted.....I guess everyone else had the same idea :cool:

I saw a '06 Corvette Z06 in Daytona Sunset OrangeM pulling out of the factory down in Bowling Green, it looked bad a** :bow: :cool: :bow:

Interim introduction - only available for part of the model year.

Camaro only color - SLP paint line limitations meant 1 less color choice for the Firehawk.

Bright red.

I wouldn't really know til I see the car itself,but the colors I'm leaning towards are black,silver(probably charcoal) or red.Just have to wait and see. :D

I selected Blue.. and I would have to say Medium Quasar Blue or Admiral Blue. Loved those 2 colors!
