Hey guys.. just wanted to share with everyone my times.. I have never been to the track with the car until tonight, its a 00 Trans Am Auto with 2:73 rear.. has a lid.. and that is it.. I ran 245-45-16 street tires.. I have no idea what these should run in the 1/8 but i thought I did damn good considering my buddy who is running a 100 shot on his Z28 only got me by 7 tenths.. anyway.. times go like this..
All my bests of the night were on one slip.. these numbers arent taken from a bunch of different slips to come up with my best times in each catagory..

You'd pick up a few tenths with steeper gears but it'd also make a good 60ft harder on normal tires. Either way that's a good first trip to the track in the new car!

Well now I am very very unhappy with my times.. granted its not an exact figure but using a "converter" to get my 1/4 times it came out to a 13.9.. Why would a it be so slow when most other guys out there are pulling mid-low 13's?? I know 6 speed cars can get into the 12's but since mine is an auto I know that cant happen until I mod it.. But I was thinking at least 13.5's would have been possible... Anyway, moving on.. my buddy has a 98 Z , auto, with exhaust, lid, 3:73's, and 100 wet shot.. of course he KILLED me as far as ET goes.. but his MPH was slower.. you saw my times above.. his times are as follows..

79.64 mph

Anyone know what could be wrong?
Edit: Talked to him a little while ago and what he said makes sense.. he said the car didnt wanna go into 3rd.. it was bouncing off the rev limiter towards the end of the track.. that would explain everything looking good past the 330 ft. mark, and then just dying off..
