Is it difficult to remove this orange backing on the gauges I hear about? Have yet to pull the gauges out and look ....just wondering if someone has already done this and can give me pointers?

I wouldn't mind red...but orange is just not cuttin' it for me...plan is to remove the backing and use colored bulbs to change the color to something else...
