Well I was fortunate to line up next to a Cobalt SS the other night. I did one of those somewhat quick stops when I pulled up next to him & gave him the stare, he replied with a rev. He had a ricer exhaust & a carbon fiber hood, not sure what else. So the light went green & I think I spooked him when I took off. :D He tried to catch but had no such luck! Probably had about 3 car lengths on him at the end of the straight-away. By the way- I was driving my new car (02' stock Regal GS). Can't wait to order pulley/K&N intake! :cool:

It sounds like that kid didn't know how to drive or wasn't racing.
Those Cobalt SSs seem to be just a little slower than LT1s.

Ya I'm gonna agree with that guy was clueless. His car makes as much power as your regal but its far lighter.

Really, my stock Mini van rapes LS1's by 5 cars stop or roll.......... :rolleyes:

Well the stock quarter mile times on these SS's are mid 14's. Last time I checked I read 14.4. The GS's do mid-high 14's in stock form.

I don't know man. His car should be faster than yours.
Not to mention you're in for a shock if you think a K&N intake is going to do much.

Sounds like 2 cars that are pretty even with the cobalt in need of a driver mod.
