Need some help... any suggestions?

I took the metal dealer plate off of the back of my car and alot of the sticky foam backing is still stuck on there and I have yet to find a safe way to remove it. If yall have any suggestions as to how to remove it without damaging the paint I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

Heat gun (or hairdryer) and your finger nails. Then if there is any residual glue left over, goo gone or WD40. Then wax

WD40 works good for alout of things. :shock: :thumb:
I would try that first. :)
