ok my first time at the track w/ my 12 bolt was last time. Mods are in sig, and the track had a 4900 or so DA that night so keep that in mind when seeing times :)
60' - 2.176
1/8 - 8.963
mph - 80.69
1/4 - 13.767
mph - 103.28

this corrected is a 12.9@109.9 (http://www.stangbangerz.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=hpmph&file=density <--- used that corrector)

now that is decent, but I know it can run some mid 12s corrected w/ just a decent launch. Every run I ran was peeling out all the way through 1st. I would stall it up not much at all after a decently small burnout maybe to 1500rpms and then slowly drop the clutch while I floored it.

any advice is appreciated

Thanks,Eddy

What gears did you have before? 3.42s? Also what tire are you running? Suspension mods? If you replaced your stock 3.42 10 bolt with the Moser with 4.10s then you just made your 1st gear ratio killer and this will expose any traction weaknesses you have. 2.1 60s can be cut down to 1.60-1.70s with a good DR. There's .5-.6 in just your 60' time. LCAs, SFC, panhard bar, TA, etc will all work together witha good, sticky tire and you'll be happy.

If nothing else, just borrow a set of stickies from someone who owes you a favor... :D

yah haha you are tellin me about 1st gear. I did go from 3.42s to 4.10s and the bad thing is I installed the rearend and as soon as I was done I went straight to the track lol. So I was nowhere near used to it, but I did have to install BMR adjustable LCAs to get the rearend to line up right (strange right?). I have no clue what to do w/ these 4.10s they are insane. Should I start in 2nd gear?
Oh yah, the car has Nitto 555r 275/35/17s on the back, havent learned the art of a good burnout yet, but that is next.

thanks for help

also, what type of suspension mods would be best for launch besides LCAs? rest of suspension is stock (I know I know...)

You definitely want to start in 1st gear...Anyway, welded SFCs are a good addition, as is at least poly trans and TA mounts. I also use poly end links on my sway bars and I don't take off the front bar because I hate the way it handles without it. I'm not a big fan of the Nittos either, but some use them with great success. Now that you've got that rear, step up to BFG DRs or M/T DRs and you'll see a difference. Might even want to get a set on the 16x8 stockers (255 50 16s) which will give you a little more sidewall and will help your launch. I've been using the BFGs for a long time and they've worked well, but I'm an A4. Try to find someone with a set of stickies and experiment with them. I'm not "up" on how to launch a stick car other than side stepping the clutch at 4000rpms and hang on...

I just finished my 250 mile agonizing break in for my Strange 12 bolt with 3.73s and can't wait to hit the track...I am looking at the M/T ET radials myself. I went from 3.42s to 3.73s, but I have a 3.06 first gear...Going to 3.73s should be interesting...Good luck...

ET Streets or ET Street Radials... Now that you have the Moser, make use of it and break your clutch... :D Put on some decent tires and do a quick release at 4500 and see what happens.

hah well I was told the clutch should be good for my power plus heads... so I am good now. I just get really scared dumping the clutch that high, it seems to wheel hop like mad, and feels crazy.
Saturday is the day...hopefully nothing breaks.
thanks
