So I got sprayed last night

So a bunch of us guys went to the Muncie Dragway last night. Long story short it got rained out and we came back to town and we were just hanging out looking for other victims to mess with. Well one of the guys that went with us was driving a 98 Mustang Cobra, 5-speed, headers, h-pipe, cold air intake. I knew the car had spray on it and we both agreed on an all motor run. So we line up and take off and I pull out of the hole by about half a car and I am starting to pull a little more and then BAM he just catches right up to me and flys by me like it was nothing. I found out later that it was a 150shot and when he realized I was pulling away he must have hit it just to be an azz hole. Anyways, it was still a good time. Peace, Dustin.

sounds like you faced a sore loser. all motor, good kill, good death too.

those cars are incredibly slow and id imagine you'd stomp him real bad right away w/ his limted mods... even w/ that shot im surprised he blew by you like that...Next time race his a$$ spray vs. spray then see what happens.

Oh yea i was starting to pull away even more. We have the race on video and it was filmed straight out the side of my car. On the take off u can see me get him by half a car and then I pull more and u cant see his headlights anymore and then all the sudden he just comes out of nowhere and passes me. those mod motors on spray are pretty fast. there is guy here in town that ran a 14.9-15.0 motor and a 13.0 on spray. I know he was spraying like a 200 shot, but damn dropping 2 sec at the touch of a button is crazy.

When I first got my 97z I hit the track w/ a 98 GT A4...he had just about every bolt on,gears,tune, and a stall...I was still easily out trapping him w/ my stock 97z w/ 273's. Im not sure how that guy dropped almost 2 seconds from a shot a gas..What was he spraying a 200-250 shot?

No by the time we started heading back from Muncie it had stopped raining. It took us about an hour and a half to eventually get home and then it was another hour at least before we raced. The roads we're pretty dry by then, it didnt provide us any problems at all. BTW the guy in the Cobra claims he didnt spray. But I also found out the car has 3.73 gears and computer tuning. I was told the guy that actually owns the car just dropped $4k into mods recently. But from the view we have the race from, after the 1-2 shift his headlight falls back more to where u cant see the headlight anymore and then all the sudden he just comes screaming out of no-where and passes me. I did however develope a clanking noise from my valve cover the next day and a crap load of my rockers were lose. They were so lose that my cam was actually more lopey after we adjusted them. So even if he didnt spray my car must have really been down on power from this. Peace, Dustin.

His car was a complete bolt on car with an auto and stall also. He even had a different intake on it and a few other things. He had the stock gears but recently put 4.30's in it. He never told anyone how much spray he was running but the rumor is it was in the 200 range. Now he has a motor being built and he is supposed to be in the 10's but I think hes full of ****.


That time when we were at the track, without nitrous I beat him with my 91 mustang (ran a best of 14.4) and with nitrous he was beating my friends 03 cobra. (he was running 13.1's with no traction).
