A guy i know is wanting to run a 250 shot on an LS1 car. Would the stock intank pump and a walbro inline suffice?

Thanks

What other mods does he have? Heads/cam? With a Racetronix kit on a LS1 car you can make right around 600 RWHP before the fuel pressure regulator becomes an issue. If you remove the factory FPR and re-locate it to the fuel rail you can support right around 650 ish. I would not suggest the inline pump; it's just a band aid. It can help to keep pressure to some degree, but in all honesty it isn't needed with a fuel system that is properly set up.

Now if you're looking for a solution for over 650 RWHP I would start looking at an external fuel pump.

I was mistaken, he's only wanting to run a 200 shot.

The car has all the bolts and a cam. It put down 406hp N/A.

Your friend should really look into a new in tank pump. He’s looking at more then 600 RWHP and an inline pump is really pushing it at that power level.
