what kind of internal work can be done to a 3.8Joshs99BlackBeauty 10-22-2002, 07:31 PM From what Ive seen, the only things you can do internally to a 3.8L are cam shaft, new heads already ported and port stock intake/exhaust. Is this all? Is it even right? Can I get a new intake manifold from anywhere? Ive been looking for new heads and a cam but I can not for the life of me find them anywhere. You can find a after market crank with a little more stroke, bore the engine and get some after market or custom size pistons. And turn your 3.8 into a 4.2 or 4.3. You could get a little over .1 liter from boring alone the rest would come from the longer stroked crank shaft. I think they have engine kits too.
