i went to the track last night after installing my new clutch (Spec Stage II) and i was hoping for better numbers because i had put 4.11's in earlier this year and thought the cltuched was smoked. So i got there and i did some runs and it took me a few runs to get into the groove and the best time i could get was....
Reaction: .071
0-60 foot: 2.250
1/8th mile: 9.429
1/8th miles speed: 75.458
1/4 mile time: 14.512
1/4 mile speed: 98.022
THis was the best i could get and the year before when i had the stock 3.42's and stock clutch and stock car all round. and i turned a 14.686 but a few more runs that night and i could easily have a 14.5 so waht the **** is wrong here i would have thought 4.11's would give me more. i do know that i have **** tires. (cooper cobras' half gone) but i still would think i would be better then a 14.5 what are you'r guy's thoughts?
thanks for the replys in advance

get your 60 foot down to 1.9-2.0 and you would be right around 14 flat.
Your mph is low...your stock motor isnt pulling the 4.11's too well.
Looks like an L98 timeslip

what track? your mph looks way low, even if you hooked up, with mph that low i doubt youd be 14 flat, more like 14.2, 14.3

are you racing at a high altitude track? that doesnt look right

Looks like your at denver or something....sh!tty times like my heads cam car running 13.9s at 104 on a 2.4 60 ft...that was at 3500 ft though.

i ran 14.0 at 98mph with 3.23s witha 60ft of 2.09 so ur MPH really isnt that low, 100mph would be better but its not bad

i would say maybe ur are bogging or spinning, u may be in a higher elevation to

with a 2.2 60ft i hit consistent 14.2s

You don't have any other mod's other than gear's and a clutch.. Your 60ft's are horrible.. and if you get it down to a 2.0 you'll be bottom 14's.. where you shifting at? very possible your shifting too high/low and it's hurtin ya...

Your 1/8 mph sucks ass and that is why your times are sucking. You should be trapping 77-78 mph in the 1/8 to run the trap speed you have. You are either spinning on your 1-2 shift or you really suck at shifting. Your 2.2 60' is fine on street tires and should be able to get you 14.2's at 98 mph.

I did have my car dynoed and my peak power and torque is at 4700 and i was shifting at redline. (5800) so it is very possbile iw as overrevving. But it sucked because i was sucking bad the whole night and i only got 4 runs in. and about 4 hours in the staging lanes.

P.S my car makes 247 horse at the wheels at 4700 and 277.6 Ft pnds of torque at 4700

for a manual ur car should put at least 265hp and 300ftlbs

how long since a tune up?

I've had the car for a year and i havent done any tune up exept for very regular oil changes. the plugs wires havent been changes at all because they are still loomed perfectly and the sparkplugs im not really sure how they are. but last year durring the summer i got a code that was random multiple cylinder misfire. do yuo think my moptispark could be going bad?

optispark is always a possibiltiy but its not always teh culprit. are u still having the misfire/engine light?

If u have high miles and u know that u have not ever had a tune up that would be teh first place i would start

goood luck

get 60' and 1/8th mile down...

you should be faster "as is" even beyond fixing any problems

pull mid 14.5s@ 94ish on average with 3.23s

you should be low 14s, maybe a high 13 with 4.10s and 98 mph trap imo...

but I am not an expert on lt1s

Definitetly do a tune up. Your power looks was low for a manual. When I was stock the car put down 265hp and right around 300ftlbs.

Both, but don't under estimate practice.

I live in Kaukauna/ Appleton area. The track i W.I.R., relativly flat elevation, you should be a mid 13 second car, I might have seen you down there. Whens the next time you run?
