What would cause my door locks to do this?

I recently finished putting my car together from mostly nothing (stripped chassis) after I wrecked my old one...and so far most everything is working fine. I'm trying to get the bugs worked out of it and noticed the door locks didn't work...so I ended up finding a wiring harness going to the driver's door for an alarm that was no longer there and removed it. All connections were soldered and covered with heat shrink tubing. It worked fine for a couple days, but now only the driver's switch unlocks and the remote unlocks and opens the trunk. The lock functions and passenger switch are dead but I know they work. I'm pretty sure I hear the relay click though. Any ideas? I dont have a set of door keys yet so I need to rely on the remote and would hate for the damn thing to quit working...
