thats your oil pressure sending unit. Never messed with mine on my 94 3.4 but if its already off just go buy a new one and replace it. You might wanna do a quick search around the borad as to how they are supose to attach onto the oil filter housing.

yep it was the oil pressure switch / send unit . the plactic just camapart around the nut flange , when i bumped it , needed to be replace anyways , if that think would of broke of during the car was running you woul lose alot of oil fast .
looks easy to repair just a open end wrench will do it .
Thak you

but its a pain to get a wrench on it.. trust me ;) (note, dropping a header on the sensor will snap it like a twig)

So how much alike does the oil pressure sending unit look like the O2 sensors? What was described sounds like what I thought were O2 sensors, one on either side of the car threaded into the exhaust manifolds. Am I mistaken, or is one of those single wired sensors for the oil pressure??

they are about the same shape and size, but he took out the oil pressure switch, missing an O2 wouldnt spew oil out of the motor. he is talking about the sensor right above and a little twards the front of the car ( go look, you have one too)
