rochester NY club??

is there a rochester NY club? has anyone started one or has anyone thought of starting one? let me know

FLFB (Finger Lakes F-body) is a Rochester/western NY based club that myself and very good friend Gary Matteson started up a few years ago. Not really a show and shine deal, more drag/road race/building LT1/LS1's....although we still wash our cars :)

We are planning on having our annual BBQ in late August or early Sept. This year has been a little slower since alot of guys seem to be very busy, but we would like to get a few good meets in for the rest of the year.

just let me know when and where? do you guys like help each other with car troubles and which parts are best and stuff? I have been having some troubles with my 94 z28 convertable LT1. Also I need to replace the brakes on it.

What kind of problems are you having with your car?

Jason sorry to not get back to you in a while, been out of town down to NYC, the car is riding very very rocky and rough and its weird it did not do this a month ago. I think I need to update my shocks and springs, plus I know I need new brakes and rotors.

Do you have any ideas on good brakes and rotors for me to get? My friend just spent 600 getting brakes and rotors but they were stock brakes and for that much I want to try to get better brakes if possible. If you could point me in the right direction I would appreciate it. I need to do it soon, like this week or next week.

..Not quite sure who posted this, but I'm fairly sure that it was one of a handful of members that have been kicked out for bad behavior.

I'm a board member, and the webmaster for the Rochester F-Body Club.

Not sure if you're still looking for a good group of people in Rochester, NY or not, but I would recommend that you at least check out our website and forum at www.rochesterfbodyclub.net/home.php

Our local club is currently looking to break the 100 member mark, that's about 40-50 vehicles. There is even a sister club offshoot that is going to be forming in the spring out of Buffalo. We put on our own car show in august, travel all over upstate ny for shows and events, and are looking to start our own official drag-racing team.

Again, you only have my word to go on.. there have been a few members over the years that have broken rules regarding appropriate behavior and are obviously not over it, but if you're looking for a good group of guys who really just want to have a good time, then you should definitely check us out.

i never was a member of the club, i was asked by somone to check out the site and what little tech info was on there was wrong. i was amazed at all the false info.


i have met members they have yet to impress me. oh well.
