I have a Bassani high flow cat on my car. I have heard even though it is high flow it is still robbing HP. Especially beacause of the increased compression ratio (10.8:1)? I am wanting to take it off and gut the cat and reinstall. Is there any issues with doing this?
See Sig. For Mod Details.
Thanks for the input.

HR did a test a while back and only found a 2hp loss from high flow cats.
I'll bet that if you just gut the cat you'll cost yourself at least 2hp maybe more from the lost velocity and extra turbulence that you'll pick up form having a large hollow area in your system.

Gutting your cat is useless powerwise....and its gonna sound like crap after....
