Vette pads on Fbody brakes....safe?

I ordered some Hawk brake pads (front) for my car last week. Lastnight me and a friend put em on, kind of a tight fit but since i never done brakes before i kept goin. Got em done in maybe 1 hour if even that. I drove em around, driver side was makin a rubbing sound pretty bad but went away after a while, not that bad right now. Right before we got on his block i heard a sound from the passenger side like somethin was too tight sorta, sort of a high squeal.....not sure how to describe it.

Anyway, i looked up the part number on the website of the shop i got em from...and i find out they gave me vette pads instead of Fbody pads which explains the tight fit. I called em this morning, he says that its not a problem if i got em on. He says they'll be fine. Says they can't take em back cuz i already used em........even though its only like 25 miles. I'm sure if i keep on it though i can have em changed.

So the question is............will i be ok with those pads on there? will the brakes work fine and not gonna mess up the brakes cuz of the tight fit?

With something like brakes, I wouldn't mess around. I tried putting some C5 pads in LS1 calipers, and the abutment bracket kept them from going in correctly. I would NOT use C5 pads on LS1 calipers/brackets.
