Ok.. I am going to type out, as well as post, the limeslip here.. he has a 95 Trans Am.. with juice of course  , its an auto.. other than that I cant tell you too much more about it, but I am sure you can guess what has been done to the car by the timeslip.. I want to beat him :( , just dont know if its going to happen on my budget.. I currently have a LS1 auto, with only free mods, magnaflow catback, and lid w/K&N, LS1 edit that hasnt been used yet.. I will be getting long tubes w/ORY and run a 150 wet shot through it, with some M/T ET streets, oh and a 3000'ish stall.. can I beat him with those mods?? Or is it gonna take a cam?? The cam would be my last and finally mod if its needed, just curious if I will need it to pull off the times he has.. Thanks
Time slip is:
R/T .497
60ft 1.047
330ft 4.520
1/8 7.057
mph 96.18
1/4 11.119
mgh 121.43

I think your gonna need a cam. That guy is knocking on 10's door man, i am not so sure your stock rear will like hooking to the extent that his is, and the 60ft your car will need. You will def have your work cut out for you tho.
Either you have a typo or the timeslip is wrong. Nobody has a 1.04 sixty foot with an 11 second quarter mile unless something breaks on a professional car...
In any case, you will have a very long way to go if he is running 96 in the 1/8... Probably it would be less expense to buy a car that run's high 6's in the 1/8 than to modify your car to do that with out risking serious injury to it.
You need the proper safety equipment to run that quick... Cage and 5-point, Et Streets or ET Drags, 12 bolt or 9" rear, beefed up tranny, and then you can deal with the motor... What good does it do to spend the money to increase the power if all you do is fil tech, spin the tranny, and get towed home after breaking the rear?

Looks like the time slip says 1.5 60 foot. Still flying though. You got a long way to go to pull those times off. As said above, tranny and rear end will be an issue for you.

It's not very often you see an LS1 asking what it takes to beat an LT1 guy.
Either way good luck with whatever approach you take!

LS1 trannys aren't as stout at LT1 trannys right? Because doesn't Tanner run a 9.4 on a stock tranny?

Well just a quick update.. saw him at a local spot last weekend.. he wasnt driving his T/A so of course I had to ask why.. He blew a head gasket and is having it redone.. stroker.. but anyway, talked with him somemore and he said he has replaced the rear end, and tranny one time each.. the tranny is a built 4L60E with a stall.. but he is STILL running a 10 bolt.. I just dropped my jaw cause I have heard nothing but bad things about 10 bolts.. He said its holding up just fine, and I know his car has like 130K+ miles on it.. not to mention its puttin 450hp to the wheels.. anyway, I just thought it was interesting to see a guy with an car thats knocking on 10's door that is still running the old 10 bolt.. :)
Yea, it seems every track has at least one person who cuts 1.4 sicty foot times on the stock rear and it holds up for years. However for every guy like that there are fifty of us who have gone home on a flatbed one too many times. ;)
