I'm not sure what to say other than that is an incredibly beautiful car. I love it. How is it that the solstice front end can be so hideous and this thing is so beautiful? Oh well, next model year when i'm in the market for a car I will probably be seriously considering this.

Simple that Saturn's front end flows with lines of the car. The Pontiac version with those overtly large twin nostrils destroys the look of the car. Same with the Monaro / GTO the Monaro's front clip looks 1000 times better than the Pontiac version.

Very nice. I don't really like the rx-8ish mouth in front, but I don't like "smiley" openings in the front of cars in general. A nice intercooler will take care of that problem.

I agree, although I think I like the Solstice better... But it's a tough one. I know!!! Just buy both!

hehe

Kappa Chevy anybody? It'd look soooo much better with a Bowtie up front...

Very well done. The Solstice always struck me as too cartoonish with the exaggerated front end. The Sky looks like a proper sports car that has some style, but isn't "trying too hard".

I think Sky and Aura are the makings for a nice foundation for a rebirth of Saturn, style-wise.

Nice looking products, and great customer service.... great idea, eh?

Much better looking than the Solstice. It is going to be kind of wierd seeing a Saturn badged car that looks that good. Hopefully it will not cheapen the image of this car. It looks great! :)

I have to wait to it in person again. I liked the Sky better in pictured because it's more dynamic styling, but when I saw them both at the chciago autoshow last year, I thought the Solstice as a whole was a more attractive car. The Sky looked bulky compared to the Solstice's tight wrapped skin IMO.

Pontiac already has 6000 sold pre-orders according to the Pontiac magazine that gets sent to you everyso often when you buy a new pontiac . Theyll be sold out well before the first model year is up if all their making is 20,000 .

I could easily see a Sky Redline replacing my Camaro in the garage. Especially if it is a 250+ hp turbo. A few tweaks and 300+ hp would easily be obtainable.

Anybody know what they will weigh?

I gotta tell you.....the first time I saw a Saturn Sky in the studios.....I stopped dead in my tracks.......completely speechless. (and for those of you who know me, I'm RARELY speechless) The car, in my opinion, is what true artistic automotive design is all about.

Let me also say this (and hopefully I won't get into trouble again about talking about the future......) I've seen the next 5 years. Indeed, Mr. Lutz and Mr. Wellburn have changed a lot of things within GM. They've allowed the talent to do what they do best. Now, some of you will say "well, it's about Friggin time!"......and to you I say.....it took a long time for GM to get into the position it was in......and the Zarella regime did a lot of damage.....it can't be changed over night.....but you will now start to see the fruits of their labor ...the Sky is just the beginning.

That said, I'm not foolish enough to think that the other manufacturers are sitting still.....FAR from it! It's going to be a long uphill battle.....but my confidence level is higher than it's been in a longgggggggggggggg time.

I would put this design right up there with the xlr, 60's stingray and maybe even the fastback fiero gt. Too bad the engine bay doesnt match the car's looks. Too beautiful of a car to get door dings-where's the plastic Bob?

It's really hot in that blue too. It would have to be, the coupe for me, but I like them both. I can't wait til' we start to see ALL this "new" stuff rolling around out there. I was also amazed, when I saw the Sky on the AW cover. The old midyear Corvette coupe's are one of my favorite body styles, and I could see the coupe versions having that look a little in the back. Really Sweet in the pics, though!

Red, I know you won't answer this but....did a particular Chevy coupe that's on the horizon provoke the same type of reaction from you when you first saw it?

The 1988 Fiero GT is probably my favourite automotive design of the modern era. I would almost buy one just to park in the garage and look at (and given how well most of them have held up, parking it wouldn't be a bad idea). The Sky is very close though ...
