good deal or not?

i feel the 3rd gen forum is the best place to ask this, and get the best response, if i'm wrong please move this to another forum and sorry for the inconveniance

i have a set of 16 inch gold gta rims with a chrome lip in perfect condition, with bald tires

this guy has gta rims already with good tires but bent rims
he also has 16 inch iroc rims, great condition, 5 spoke single stripe wih decent rubber

he wants to trade with me
my set of gta rims for his set of iroc rims
and his price is just for me to pay to swap the tires from his gta rims on my gta rims


does this sound fair, should i be paying more or should he be paying me?

the gta rims have clearance issues with my ls1 calipers
i need a minimum 16 inch rims, and my tires are bald
i want the car on the road very soon
i dont really care much for the look of the gta rims

The only "factory" thirdgen wheels I've seen sell higher than the 16" crosslace wheels are the Ronal's that came on the '91-'92 Firehawks. If your rims are in near perfect condition, you should easily be able to sell them for $300+
