Many hints that THIS is the Dodge Challenger.Z284ever 07-15-2005, 05:40 PM http://www.lxforums.com/board/showthread.php?t=14576 Chuck! 07-15-2005, 05:47 PM Truthfully, I like it. If they keep that body with a scary SRT-8 hood and a 6-speed manual... it'll be might tempting. 97z28/m6 07-15-2005, 05:47 PM if its priced around the same as the mustang/camaro this will be in my driveway. SNEAKY NEIL 07-15-2005, 05:58 PM It doesn't look much different than a 2 door charger. I thought it was supposed to be "significantly different"? It still looks very sedan-ish which is fine for some but not for me. Overall, it doesn't do much for me. number77 07-15-2005, 06:01 PM Wayyyy, too family car looking for the Challenger name. Z28Wilson 07-15-2005, 06:02 PM Looks a bit "soft" up front, but I like the stance anyway.... jg95z28 07-15-2005, 06:17 PM Much more believe that previous "retro" renderings. Not bad looking either... for a Dodge. :D jrp4uc 07-15-2005, 07:07 PM Not bad, but a little subdued for what you'd think of as a Mustang-competitor. You could touch up the grille and envision it as a Mercedes (convertible). It's not as bold as the Charger. SCNGENNFTHGEN 07-15-2005, 07:09 PM It looks good, but Its just a cartoon drawing. I did see a blk. Charger about 2 days ago, and it was cruising slowly through a parking lot. I have to say it didn't look too bad. It looks like things could be falling into place, once again for some serious battle...If our suspicsions are correct about a certain cars release! Gold_Rush 07-15-2005, 07:38 PM Looks good. But cars always look better in drawings. While i am getting used to the Chargers looks, i hope the challenger looks a whole lot better if they really want to go after the mustang and future 5th gen with it. mastrdrver 07-15-2005, 07:51 PM I don't think it is the Challenger. If you notice that PVOman says that the drawings are accurate, but he never says what they are an accurate drawing of. Also, hemidakota says that the drawings are correct in some areas, but never says what they are accurate drawings of either. I think they are the s/s twin replacements that will be based off the next Galant platform. Thats my take. JEDCamino 07-15-2005, 08:02 PM Hey, it's what the Charger should have looked like. :blah: I like it. mr00jimbo 07-15-2005, 08:16 PM GIVE THAT F*CKING FRONT END A REST ALREADY!!!! The other one was WAYYY nicer, that looked retro. unvc92camarors 07-15-2005, 08:32 PM GIVE THAT F*CKING FRONT END A REST ALREADY!!!! The other one was WAYYY nicer, that looked retro. I disagree completely. This one (like JED said) is what the Charger should've looked like. Long sleek roofline, agressively styled front without being a brick, and 2 doors. I definately like this one. The retro concept was just that. A real ripoff of the old one. Jmho though. Bud M 07-15-2005, 08:34 PM Those creases at the hips really look out of place to me. I can live with the styling but yeah, that front end is not really attractive and slapping it on so many cars doesn't make much sense. But its still a lot less ugly than the Charger. I still can't believe how wrong they got that one. Dwarf Killer 07-15-2005, 08:34 PM GIVE THAT F*CKING FRONT END A REST ALREADY!!!! The other one was WAYYY nicer, that looked retro. I agree. Boring looking. Meccadeth 07-15-2005, 08:38 PM GIVE THAT F*CKING FRONT END A REST ALREADY!!!! The other one was WAYYY nicer, that looked retro. Yup. BigBlueCruiser 07-15-2005, 08:50 PM I'd buy the retro one w/ a 6.1 T-56 for $33K or so. Any more and it would be pretty dumb not to spend $5K more and get the GT500. guionM 07-15-2005, 08:50 PM The drawings are based on descriptions from those in the know, with alot of liberty taken by the artist, as would be every car drawing made 2 years or more before the real one came out. I think it's safe to say the front end won't look like a Dodge Magnum, and the profile will be a little more than the current Stratus coupe. Boy, what about that 2006 Detroit show? Should be something else. :) number77 07-15-2005, 09:44 PM Do we really need a re-badge LeBaron? http://img326.imageshack.us/my.php?image=labbb8ne.jpg indieaz 07-15-2005, 09:57 PM I thought i'd never say this about a DCX product...but i REALLY like it. If it looks like that I might just be saying "camaro what?" Do we really need a re-badge LeBaron? http://img326.imageshack.us/my.php?image=labbb8ne.jpg I don't see the resemblance at all. number77 07-15-2005, 10:41 PM I thought i'd never say this about a DCX product...but i REALLY like it. If it looks like that I might just be saying "camaro what?" I don't see the resemblance at all. That is all I see... (i guess i'm have too abstract of an imagination  ) alam 07-15-2005, 11:23 PM looks like a stratus? Jason E 07-15-2005, 11:28 PM Now THAT is an LX I like :) indieaz 07-16-2005, 02:12 AM That is all I see... (i guess i'm have too abstract of an imagination  ) My wife had a lebaron for like 4 years...thing was like brand new when she got rid of it 3 years ago. anywyas...i'll show her the pic and see if she mentions her lebaron at all :D NJSPEEDER24 07-16-2005, 02:28 AM The botton drawing (red) resembles a Mercedes to me (I know it's not :p) but that Dodge front end never resembled a Benz to me before is all I'm saying Big Als Z 07-16-2005, 02:30 AM Ugh...looks really soft, not agressive enough. I would deffinatly pass on a Challenger that looked like that. Charger is much more agressive looking. And really...enough with the Dakota grill ok? IZ28 07-16-2005, 03:07 AM Looks just like the Charger only with 2 doors. Boring, unaggressive, uninspiring, has nothing to do with any Challenger ever, etc. Which all makes it even more like the Charger. This is the way different we were expecting? jrp4uc 07-16-2005, 07:28 AM GIVE THAT F*CKING FRONT END A REST ALREADY!!!! And the rear end isn't tired?? Chrome383Z 07-16-2005, 08:12 AM Ugh...looks really soft, not agressive enough. I would deffinatly pass on a Challenger that looked like that. Charger is much more agressive looking. And really...enough with the Dakota grill ok? Yea, everytime I see that front end I think "TRUCK". They really need to go to a different theme on the front. SGT Posaune 07-16-2005, 12:31 PM The botton drawing (red) resembles a Mercedes to me (I know it's not :p) but that Dodge front end never resembled a Benz to me before is all I'm saying I thought the same thing when I first saw it! falchulk 07-16-2005, 07:33 PM Its really hard to picture this car from these drawings. It really looks like a dcx car from 3 or 4 years ago rather then similar to the charger. | ||
