2004 GTO - Take over lease of $323.63 per month

My father bought the car new back in Dec of 04. He owned it for 5 months, until he needed something to be able to tow a trailer, and was easier to get the kids in and out of.

So, I told him I would take it. I've owned it since June.

The car is 100% stock, and has never had any mods. I've only done one oil change with Mobil 1 since I've owned it, and I believe my parents did the same. The car has gone in once for warranty work. The front brakes started squeeking at 6,000 miles. They replaced both front brake pads.

Reason for selling: It's honestly more then I want to afford at this time. I can do it, but I don't want to be working to afford the car. I have other bills that I should pay off. I was just trying to help out my dad and ended up hurting myself.

It's a 2004 Yellow Jacket with a 6spd (1 of 1,014).

I am currently leasing the car. Here's all the lease info:

Monthly Payment: $323.63
Miles allowed: 30,206 (currently it has 8,500)
End of lease: Dec 17th 2006 (17 months left)
Current payoff: $26,179.53
Payoff at end of lease: $21,077.80

There is a $600 dollar fee to tranfers the lease to one ower to the next. I am offering to split that with you. If you need to ship it, that is your cost to cover.

To change the lease is very simple. You call GMAC and tell them you want to take over my lease, and they send you the paper work to get you approved (no money is due at that time). Fill it out and send it back to them. Once you get approved, they make sure my account is in good standings (no late fee's, and payments up to date). Once that happens, We pay the $600 and they send you the title and all the goodies you need, and I give you the keys that day. It took them less then 7 days to send me all I needed when I bought it from my dad. Very very simple process.

I ran the car at the track, but could only best a time of 14.2 @ 98mph (I'm a track newbie).

I will also offer this if you need to ship it:

- Pay half of the transfer fee.
- Help with the shipping costs (help with it, not pay for it).
- Pay one monthly payment.

If you do need to ship it, I will make sure it has a full tank of gas and a fresh oil change of Mobil 1.

The car currently has less then 9,100 miles on it, and the current pay off is $300 less as I just made a payment.

Thanks for looking.
Milo.

Lets say I wanted to end the lease agreement and buy the car outright, how much would that be?

It would be around $25,855.

I am more then flexable to do what it takes to sell / transfer the lease of this car. Please call me with any questions you may have.

Milo.

I wonder with a credit score of 660 I can get it?? I dont know how the approval process works. I am interested if GM would say yes. Where is the car located? Send me more pics of it. All you have if possible. Some of the interior would be nice, and engine bay. Send em to: sicxecutioner@yahoo.com Thanks!

I am positive most folks don't know this, so i will post it.

a GM dealer can "buy out" a lease cheaper than you can.

my wife worked at a dealership, and they just called and got their price to "pay it off" and it seems it was ~2500 less than our cost.

so they paid it off, we paid them ~500 over their cost, and that's how we bought our car out of the lease.

so, I'd go to a GM dealer, and ask someone who's BEEN THERE A WHILE - like the New Car manager about this...don't ask a salesman.

hth?

This is a feedback post.

If you buy anything from Milo, plan on it being exactly as described and respected in the utmost fashion.

In regards to the GTO, I felt like Milo made a very fair deal on the buyers behalf. I can't express enough how pleased I am with the car and how easy he made the lease transfer process.

Milo, thanks for going above and beyond what was required. Excellent communication is an understatement. I felt comfortable with the status of the transfer all along.

If everyone was this fair and easy to work with the world would be a better place.
