Alright guys, right now i have the standard belt driven water pump. I was thinking, would an Electric water pump help out with HP? im not talking about adding, but atleast it wont choke up the engine as much? I figure it might help to change to electric because i was thinking in A/C terms. If the A/C is on, one more belt is running, and the car slows down. would this be the same concept?

if its worth it, What kind should i go with?

Is it worth it? Yes. A buddy of mine has one. I can't remember the brand, but its on his LT1. He has a spare as they tend to go out when you least expect it but they're usually good for a few years at least. I think Mezierre or whoever is a pretty well respected name and probably who I would go with if I were to get one.

CSR makes really good streetable pumps. I run mine with an electric fan you get better gas mileage with better cooling, more hp and the fact you can cool your engine when its off is awesome.

these things actually work....i was wanting to get one, but everbody told me don't, its not worth the 5 hp that you would pick up, and they told me that electric ones don't pressurize the system like a mechanical one would...everybody i talked to about 5 months ago about it, said it wasn't a good idea....i guess its too late now...
