centerline rims on my lt1

Will a 15x10 centerline rim w/ a 5.0 backspacing fit on my car? I want to run M/T Drag Radials. I was going to buy the 15x8 that everyone else does but on M/T's site they recommend atleast a rim with a 10in width.

I have a 96 Trans Am.
