Was wonder if anyone can help me out with launching on drag radials. the best 60ft time i could pull of was a 1.982 (pretty much a 2.0) and i can pull off 2.0's with street tires. right now i have just about every bolt on possible. all mods are in sig. Also my mph seemed to be a bit low to me. im running an auto with 3.23s. can anyone take a look at those numbers and let me know what they think.

60'....1.982
330...5.713
1/8...8.728
mph..81.75
990...11.274
1/4...13.568
mph...101.95

How old are the tires?
How much tread is left?
What tire pressure?

Possibly bogging on launch? Try launching with a bit more rpm?

i was launching from around 1500rpm, should i go up to around 2 or higher? also another thought i had was if i should have the car in drive or overdrive, would that make any difference?

DRs take some getting used to...leave the car in D not OD. I run the BFG DRs 275 40 R17s at 17 psi. Put fronts at 40 psi for a little better rolling resistance; Try not to get fronts in the water and just give the DRs a light hazing, too much burnout will cause them to get "greasy" for lack of a better word, and the won't hook well. No dry hops either, just go straight to the line and practice with different launch rpms. I wouldn't go much lower than 14 but thats my opinion on what has worked for me. BFG recommends around 19 psi for our cars/weight, etc. I have an instructional video made in 1996 which is helpful...Not to mention that it features my car...I'll make copy and send it out if you want one...

I get consistent 1.70s with some 1.60s to 60'...

14 is way too low IMO. I'd bump it up to around 20-22. I ran 26 on street tires before the 3200 stall and I nailed 2.0s all day long and that was smoking the tires decent. I have my E/T streets at ~25 and it dead hooks and nails 1.70s all day long. E/T Streets are a much different story than DRs of course, but your psi is waaaaay too low IMO. Start at 26 and work your way down. :thumb:
