Ok guys, I picked up a GM Ram Air box lid on ebay. Brand new. I have the SLP Ram Air HO hood on my car with the SLP Ram Air box. I put the GM lid on and the hood won't shut. WTF? Aren't the SLP and GM lids the same besides the rubber striping? Also, is the SLP hood the same mold as the GM hood? I'm stumped. Any info is greatly appreciated.

I assume you mean you picked up a complete airbox, including the lid and base.
The GM/SLP hoods and airboxes are dimensionally identical. I had a problem fitting mine on, but it seemed to be a height problem with my Griffin radiator. The problem was solved by cutting down the bottom pieces of the stock radiator cover - the pieces that sit on the radiator and support it. I actually had to screw the radiator support into the aluminum radiator.
But with a stock radiator, it shouldn't be a problem.

I have a complete SLP airbox and the GM Airbox lid. They look pratically the same...
