28x10.5 i think 16 inch wheel

i know the 26 tall will fit, but my buddy has a nova that has the 28 inch tall ones... will this fit??? i know it will be close, but... and if doesnt... is it possible to make fit with minor modication... illl be on a strange 12 bolt(dunno if matters)....

Depends on the exact outside diamter of the tire. Not all 28" tires are exactly 28.0" diameter. A 28" ET Street is only 27.6" and will "fit". A Hoosier QTP is 28.0", and to fit those on my car, I had to move the rear axle assembly back about 1/4" to keep the tires from hitting th sheet metal at the front of the fender opening when trap speeds went over 125MPH. Now, with a set of 28x10.5-15W ET Drags, they are way over 28" diameter, and required about 1.5" be cut off the leading edge of the rubber bumper cover, and the sheet metal behind it cut back.

So.... depends on the exact dimensions of the tire.
