Hi All, I looked at a 2000 TA that is for sale. 23k miles, auto, monsoon radio,T Tops, chrome wheels, very clean and original owner. What is a good price for this car? He is looking for 13.5,what do you think?

What I think is you never pay full asking price on a used vehicle. Do your homework, check KBB.com, or whatever else you want to check, and make a reasonable offer based upon comparable selling prices and your lust for this vehicle.

do you really want the car? Do you think it is as clean as it he says it is? If so I would offer him 12k. If you can bargin with him go from there. My Dad comes with me every car I buy, why? because he is cheap and a salesman, he talks people down way past where I get them. He does an excellant job of it and enjoys doing it. The guys asking price isn't bad at all, see how low you can get him and if you feel you the price is fair, go for it.

this quesitons really bothers me a fair price is what ever a buyer and seller agree on. what is the car worth to you? if it is worth 5000 to you offer him 5000 it is up to he to take it or not if it is worth 20,000 to you take his asking price an be happy kelly blue book does not mean a damn thing. notice there is no print check button on their web site. they dont buy cars and they dont sell cars they sell books so why they hell would you take their advice?

It sounds like a pretty fair price to me. You can probably talk him down a little, so go there with some cash and pick up your new bird.
