i am looking at 20" rims and i hear that they might rub so i was wondering if i were to lift the car like 2" or so then would it be less of a problem. and i know all the people who are against the whole 20" rims thing on a camaro and normally i agree but when they look this (http://ec-securehost.com/OnlineTires.com/Jesse_James_357_TrkSuv.html)
good then i just have to get them. so any replies on the best way to fit these or on how to do a slight lift would be much appreciated. i was thinking just getting bigger shocks would work but im not sure (if it helps i own a 2001 3.8liter V6 camaro) thanks...

So you want to make your Camaro have a stance like a truck to put truck wheels under it....

Are you sure those wheels are even the correct lug pattern?

Personally, I prefer wheels that accent the car instead of attract attention over the car.
Case in point:

Not to mention the lost performance and handling from an overly large wheel/tire combo.

BTW, there is a wheel/tire section.

i definately dont want a ride like a truck...the lift idea was only mentioned because i thought i might have to give it more clearance so the tires won't rub when i turn, and i know from reading that it will effect handling but just how much of a difference will it make. the camaro already has awesome handling as is. so wouldnt this not matter so much as long as you arent going to take turns at like 50?

Personally, other members correct me if I am wrong, but I haven't seen anyone else running bigger then 18 inch rims in the back. Furthermore, I have not heard of anyone butchering their car by raising it two inches to accomodate what sounds like truck or suv rims. To make a long story short, your car shouldn't have to go through that much effort to accomodate rims when there are plenty of companies making rims to specifically accomodate your car. Check out summit, jegs, and tirerack just to name a few.

i know the camaro itself is rear wheel drive...but the wheels are not ...the offset is too high

you know how much stress you would be putting on your suspension with 20 inch wheels???
