Check out the odd color of #3 exhaust valve in the attached pic. Any clues as to whats going on?
Thanks,
Steve

abnormal combustion temps maybe? I'd look at the injector on that cylinder out of a hunch, maybe it's leaking or something...but I dont really know either!

Looks to me like a coolant leak. The pocket is slightly cleaner looking than the others.

Just wondering if that particular valve has been replaced with a valve
made of a different composition than the rest?
I wouldn't suspect that has anything to do with coolant...being greenish...maybe?
I'm interested in the results!

Yeah that was my guess as well... if that valve is steel

I don't think it's coolant...the fire ring looks nice, and if water was in the chamber, there would be little white spots in there.
The intake valve looks a little blue, if you pull the intake valve and check for blueing on the stem, that will point to a lean condition or excessive heat in that cylinder...could be a poor injector.
Really it's something that I would need to look at in person, never tried to diagnose a problem based on a picture. I do see those single miss-colored valves occasionally, but I don't remember what I ruled as the cause during the VJE.

Cyl is to hot for some reason.
