How to make amber corners clear?

how do i make my amber turn signal lenses up front clear. i saw a post acouple years ago bout doing that...

id say for the trouble just drop the $$$ on some clear corners. again, just another opinion...

i don't have the money to really spend right now..

can someone photoshop them on my car if i send them a picture?

off hand they are only like $35 shipped off ebay...

Buy $5 in sandpaper, buy $15 worth of clear lexan, buy $7 in epoxy or glue, $3 in amber bulbs so you are leagal, and spend $15 on another stock light that you screwed up trying to remove the amber lens or spend $30-35 on the correct ones that will function properly, fit properly, and look right.

Tough choice...... The reason people used to make em is you couldn't buy em for an f-body foo a long time, now you can and quite cheaply. But hey, if you want to make em....

The alternative is to get some real strong window and glass cleaner spray it on and scrub the lens really hard, repeat until they are clear. It's the cheapest way out but takes alot of hard work. Don't get discouraged with this method, just keep working at it.

i could swear i heard some people put them in the oven for acouple mins and then opened them up and the yellow peeled off inside the lense?

Moral of the story, don't believe everything on the internet. I'm sorry, but I figured you to be wiser than to believe that one. Please, wait till you have the money to buy some and save yourself alot of problems. If you are that much on a budget you can get some great appearance mods out of selling that S-trim, and you can buy more Chicken McNuggets too.

The car has a blower yet you can't come off $30 for some lights? :confused:

trust me i make good money, its more like i have money to spend on others things like lifting stuff and my house and things. don't (need) the lenses but curious to see what they look like on my ride.

If you bake them and peel them apart there is a 95% chance you will crack them. They are brittle already and then when you heat them they get even weaker. Just shed the $30 , lol---

Make sure the picture is saved as a jpg and under 1.5 mb.

I *think* the procedure is bake it at like 180* in the oven and keep checking to make sure you don't melt plastic all over your oven.

then take them out, then carefully peal the lens off being careful not to crack it.

then re glue it back later.

or just log onto ebay and get a set for $35 shipped.
