Osh Kosh, WIKwiksilverz28 06-30-2005, 11:46 PM One of the doctors that I work with and myself will be flying to OshKosh the end of July for the airshow. Wondering if there is anything to go do/see while I am there. Never been to Wisconsin.... I will not have a car unless I rent one or get a ride, so that is a consideration.... As for stuff to do there isn't much to do if you don't have a car. If you do get one a drive around Lake Winnebago isn't a bad choice. In Fond du Lac there is a good drive in called Gillies. It's hit or miss whether you'll see some nice cars there. There also is a car show on tuesday nights in Plymouth, Wisconsin at their Mcdonalds, some nice cars show up too. I've never been to Oshkosh itself often, but it didn't seem like a hopping place. I always spent my time in either Madison or occasionally Milwaukee. They themselves are both more than an hour away from Oshkosh and so is Wisconsin Dells. (From what I hear, the Dells are similar to Myrtle Beach, SC without the ocean or to Gatlinburg, TN without the mountains, mainly a place to separate tourists from their money.)
