I, like others, am a bit tight for mod budget these days. I have a 98 1LE, so don't have the better intake and am running stock exhaust manifolds with a Y pipe and Borla. I am currently at 334 rwhp and 334 ftlbs with only free intake mods and catback.

Any thoughts on what I am giving up with stock intake manifold and stock exhaust manifold, when I add heads/cam. (I will be adding Stage IIx heads/224/224 w/114 lsa cam). I sure would like to get away without spending the 1000-1500 dollars the Z06 intake and midlength headers (we are getting state inspection/emission stations rather than private party next year so that will rule out long tubes.)

My take is that if I get 380+ rwhp I will leave it alone. Less than that and I will have to add intake/exhaust dollars.
