Hatchback motor has an actuator(sp)?

For the htach motor stuff i've found a motor rebuild kit or a new motor and a reverse switch for the pull down unit. Is this the entire hatch electronics or is there an actuator of some sort as well?

Re: Hatchback motor has an actuator(sp)?

Ponder with me.

Mechanic says the electronic hatch thing is my battery drain problem, he disables that and says all is good and that i can still use the hatch, get it back and I end up with the same problem, somethign is draing the battery.

When I open the hatch teh light doesnt come on, I assume because he disabled the hatch thingy, or did me maybe disable the wrong thing? He mentioned spot welding something, I wonder if I could have messed that up opening the hatch?
