Sheet says I have 8 speakers stock? Where?

Part of the 'standard equipment' group on my car, says

MONSOON 500 WATT (PEAK) AM/FM
STEREO W/CD, 8 SPEAKERS
& AMPLIFIER




I see one speaker in each door, one speaker to the left and right of the back seat, and one speaker over where my CD changer is, and another on the other side above my spare.

A total of 6 speakers.


Where is the missing two?

For whatever reason GM chose to call each individual driver a speaker. Your tweeters in the doors are also considered to be "speakers".

2 - tweets in the doors
2 - door woofers
2 - subs (HA! what a joke)
2 - 4" mids (in back)
Firebirds have 10 speakers because of having 2 tweets in back with the 4" mids.

So those two speakers to your left and right if you are sitting in the back seat are supposed to be subs?

Yep. Although an oversized 6.5" woofer is hardly what I would consider a "subwoofer".
