F-body Clash At Atcokazman 06-14-2005, 04:17 PM F-BODY CLASH Sunday 6/19/05 at ATCO. Anyone going or have any info on the event? Projectz28 06-14-2005, 07:32 PM Jim, I know noting about it but I want to go. Only trouble is that the wife has crap planned for every weekend till 2010.... BAD97SS 06-14-2005, 07:40 PM Don't you love being Married. :D :D :D I have the same thing over here. Wife has every freaken weekend till kingdom come booked up. What joys. I would like to know more about this cause I want to go. kazman 06-14-2005, 09:59 PM Brian, I'm extremely luckey to have someone like Linda. :D Linda schedules things and I show up between races. Lately I've been getting done very early at the grove and meeting her up at the lake. I'm comming down with the teal car and Rick will be driving the red one. Hopefully there will be several classes so I can run a different one than Rick. 97TransAm 06-14-2005, 10:42 PM I got married in '84. The schedule on the weekends just opend up late last year... Bow94z 06-15-2005, 12:36 PM how much is it to get in? and what time does the event run til? says it starts at 9am on Atco's site StylezTA 06-15-2005, 02:46 PM hmm i might attend but not run my car. i hate atco track, but would love to see some fbodies run. kazman 06-15-2005, 04:07 PM i hate atco track, but would love to see some fbodies run. Wow, I think ATCO is a great track to run at. It's only problem is that its 2 hours away. I'm gona try to break into the 12's this Sunday. ;) 5SPDCHK 06-15-2005, 09:51 PM It's Father's Day! I'm not sure if I'll make it or not. Perhaps if my dad wants to take a ride down, I'll go with him. I also have that lesson planning crap to do. It is extremely time consuming! I did less work when I was a student than I'm doing as a teacher. Anyway, I'll see what I can do to get down there at least for a little while. EDIT: Rick and I don't plan things for each other either. If I make plans for us, I check ALL track schedules first. :) ;) zmanlt1 06-15-2005, 10:01 PM I would be running my car but my tranny is broke again. Projectz28 06-16-2005, 06:48 PM I have a problem. Liz makes plans for us months in advance and I will end up in a tiffy if I argue. We have a Father's day dinner here on Sat night and he rcousin's baby is having his christining on sunday.... I have to go or I will end up making my own life miserable... Hope you all have fun. let me know how it is;). myslowcamaro 06-16-2005, 08:11 PM I got married in '84. The schedule on the weekends just opend up late last year... so basically you served a 20 year sentence. :D whats it cost to get in and stuff? is it bracket racing? if so just hand 97transam the damn trophy and save yourself the headache :p kazman 06-16-2005, 08:37 PM is it bracket racing? if so just hand 97transam the damn trophy and save yourself the headache :p I don't think so. :p 97TransAm 06-17-2005, 09:17 AM  But seriously folks... it's Dad day so I'm hanging at home with my daughter and maybe building one of those closet organizer pieces of furniture in her closet. Then later maybe suck down some brewski's while I burn the hot dogs on the grill. Calculated Risk 06-17-2005, 09:43 AM I don't think so. :p I agree with Jim. kazman 06-17-2005, 11:44 AM  But seriously folks... it's Dad day so I'm hanging at home with my daughter and maybe building one of those closet organizer pieces of furniture in her closet. Then later maybe suck down some brewski's while I burn the hot dogs on the grill. Ron, I might see you at RP on 7/9. Have a great Father's Day  I agree with Jim. Rick, I'll see ya Saturday and will try to stay in front of you in the staging lanes on Sunday. 97TransAm 06-18-2005, 11:18 PM Thanks Jim... I've been told to get out of the house... so GM EFI at the E-town is probable. The following week I'm heading up to Pampered-Z neck of the woods. And yes, we are talking woods... ron Projectz28 06-19-2005, 06:35 PM Jim, you drove right past me this morning. Rt38 and 541. I was sitting at the light on 38 heading towards LBI and suddenly I see this Firebird cross right in front of me;) It was 8:30am exactly. Liz and I picked up the new ride so you never would have seen me. 05 GMC Yukon in Silver:) I'll catch up with you guys sooner or later. How was the event? I really wanted to go... kazman 06-19-2005, 08:11 PM How was the event? I really wanted to go... Brian, very small turnout. I got a very luckey break and beat Rick in the finals. Rick never drove my car before today. Final round, I cut a .051 light and ran 11.761 on a 11.79 dial. Rick cut a .011  and ran 14.699 on a 14.75 dial. I let off the gas just at the end. Double break out...... He took the strip by .0225 and was mad at himself for taking too much strip. I'm amazed at Ricks ability to take any car and be competivite. Like I said, I got lucky. :D Ron, I got to install carpet and mufflers on the teal car for the RP EFI event. It should be ready in time. See ya there. ;) 5SPDCHK 06-20-2005, 08:27 AM I'm amazed at Ricks ability to take any car and be competivite. Like I said, I got lucky. :D You have to stop telling him this. It's all going to his head. :D  Good job Jim. I was cracking up when Rick told me he runner'd up to you!!! How would you tell people that you lost to your own car in the final?? :D ;) Projectz28 06-21-2005, 06:02 AM haha, that great Jim... but .022 is probably the width of the actual paint stripe anyway. Turn out would have been better if it want on fathers day. I know of 4 people who didnt go just because of that. | ||
