Eh, no biggie (though I'm always appreciative of the heads up, so thanks ).

Waiting on bigger news concerning the 06 Mustangs.

Wow, FOUR wheels for one model...scandalous I mean, we had 2 models of Camaros that, like shared the same wheels. One chrome, one painted, forever. I mean, who needs a total of 6 wheels for 2 different models when 2 wheels for 2 models will do???

Nice to see Ford was so retarded that the 17s are nice Pirelli P Zeros and the 18s are ho-hum Touring T/As. As a point of reference for you non-tire guys, Touring T/As are the OEM tire for my fiance's '99 Grand Am SE

Tungsten Grey Clearcoat Metallic

I love this color.

In looking at the tire sizes, it's retarded that even the 18's are 235's . Not even the 255's on the showcar. Sux.

I would think it would kind of **** me off seeing someone with a base mustang getting the same headlight's if I owned a GT, but what do I know.

Am I the only one that thinks something at Ford is seriously wrong when they're putting 235 tires on 18" wheels?

It's funny because ever since Ford made 17's optional back in 94, and standard in 99 on the GT's, and they've ALL been wearing 245/45's from the factory. Fast forward to 05, and the standard 17's are 235/55's and the optional 18's are 235/50's.

There's something wrong with that. Even on the GT500 Showcar had measly 255's on 19's. From what i've heard, they're moving upto 285's but even that's not enough for a car with 450+hp and 450+lb-ft of tq.

I don't know why they're holding back on the tire sizes.

Cause the bean counters at Ford deemed wider and grippier tires were not neccesarry for a sports car.

How big are the wheelwells in the Mustang? Will they fit a wider tire?

I don't know what the wheel wells are capable of accommodating. but i know for a FACT that 245's or 255's wouldn't be too much to ask for and would fit without any problems whatsoever.

I rather expected wider tires too.

Shame really.

Guess they decided to put the money in a wider variety of factory rims, various special edition packages, and other things to keep public intrest in the Mustang at a fever pitch, while leaving the hard core enthusiast customer (who would buy a Mustang GT instead of a V6 pony anyway) to spring a couple hundred dollars to purchase his own upsized tires instead.

Them bastards!

You're killing me.

Ford is probably trying to juice up the V6 sales because the model mix is more heavily weighted to the GT than they want. That's my guess, anyway.
