Storing Aluminum Heads

I just bought a set of AFR 210cc heads, and I have to store them for a while. They are complete with valvetrain parts and brand new. I'm thinking of spraying them with WD-40, and coating them with motor oil, and then sealing them in plastic bags. They will sit inside the house, not in the garage, basement, or outside. Any recommendations?

The things you listed to do to the heads before storing them will be fine.

Aluminum is great like that, you don't really have to worry about corrosion because it seals itself

Aluminum doesn't rust like iron or steel. The only worry I'd have is the guides and the seats. I'd just slap in some bearing gease to keep moisture out and bag em up.

store them standing up.

I think WD-40 has silcone in it. If you spray the heads with it, you will run a risk of feeding silcone to the O2 sensors.

Good quality grease or motor oil would be a better bet.

Might want to grease/oil the valves so they don't weld to the seats from contact and pressure over time, assuming that you have springs installed.
