84 10 bolt to a 94

im in need of a new rear and i found a 10 bolt from an 84 fbod will that just bolt right up to my 94 if not what needs to be changed

I believe the 3rd gen rear is several inches narrower than the 4th gen or its the other way around. I believe it will work but you will need some wheel spacers.

I have a Eaton 3.08 posi from my 1984 truck.. will it fit in my 94 Z28?

im perty sure the pumpkin will fit in
but i was curious abaout the entire axle housing

The 3rd Gen and 4th Gen 10-bolts are identical, except for the width, and the brake plates. The shock, spring, TA, panhard rod, etc. connections are identical. But, at least according to the drawings on the Strange website, the 3rd Gen rear is 3" narrower than the 4th Gen. Wheels that fit a 4th Gen will have too much offset/backspace with a 3rd Gen rear axle assembly. You will need 1.5 - 2.0" bolt-on spacers for the rear wheels.

And it won't have the sensor or ring for the abs.
