New Steering rack and tierods....now steering feels too tight

Well i had my steering rack and tierods replaced under GMPP warranty. The steering now actually takes a good amount of effort to turn the wheel. I admit there is no play in the wheel, at all, but it almost feels like its just too tight. I had a tech drive it with me to make sure i wasnt crazy and he told me it was normal.

So would i be safe to assume that the new rack needs to be broke in before it will loosen up a bit or am i just stuck with it the way it is? Compared to before, it's like going from a cheapo econobox to a ferrari, there is that much difference.

Edit: The tech told me he readjusted the toe after he installed the tierods.

It's probably fine but with both the rack and tie rods being bad, you're used to it being very loose. You'll get used to it pretty quick.

I rebuilt my entire front end suspension (upper and lower bushings, inner/outer tie rods, new steering rack, rag joint eliminator, new upper/lower ball joints) and my steering is easier than before with no slop in the wheel.

the main problem i am having is that it is easier to turn the wheel right than it is to turn it left. This leads me to believe that something isnt right
