Just curious... I've had 2 cars with Monsoon now. My 98 Camaro blew a door speaker after 1 year and my '99 seems it has blown both now. What's the deal?!? I'm of the opinion that the Bose system in my '96 Camaro is much better.

[EDIT] Whoops...should've added an option for no blown speakers. Has anyone out there NOT blown a speaker??

Personally, I got tired of dealing with them and simply replaced the whole system. Ive got a full set of clarion component speakers for front and back and ran new wires to all of them and put in the alpine xm ready head unit. That coupled with the JL W3 and stealth box and im finally happy with my system. Only cost about 1100 over the course of a couple months and I installed everything myself...dont trust neone else. Oh and when i bought the car it had one blown in the door then the other one went followed by one in the sail panel.

Oh, man...that is so much better. Not counting gettng the door panels off and back on, I rewired both Alpines in about 50 minutes. I took my time and it turend out wonderful!

i've had my front door speakers blow and my back seat speakers. it sucks.. i wonder if it's because the low impedence of them or just cuz they're cheap. I would think that they should be decent with monsoon sound system...
