Hi. great forum guys.
I replaced the plugs, wires, rotor and cap on my 91 305 TPI yesterday and it idles funny. I labelled everything before taking it off, but somehow must have rewired it wrong. I know the firing order, 1 8 4 3 6 5 7 2 .
My question is, where do I start on the distributor? I don't know which plug goes with what prong on the distributor.
Can anybody please help. I don't want to drive the car the way it is.
Also, has anybody ever used the Bosch Platinum +2 plugs that do not need gapping? I installed 8 of these Bosch plugs with the two prongs.
Thank you very much. :(

You start on the prong on the distributor that is closest to the #1 cylinder, and then work clockwise.

Here's a diagram:

If you still have problems with it it could very well be the platnum plugs. I put a set in my 01 Jeep Cherokee and it would not idle worth a crap till I took them out and put cheap champion truck plugs in it. It would idle iractically about 400 rpms. Just something else to check into.
