I really want a Magnaflow catback for my 1999 Z28 but I'm not sure which one to get.

There's 2 catbacks for the 98-02 Z28's, one has 2.5 inch pipes and the other has 3 inch pipes. The exhaust kit I have now is bone stock.
Any suggestions? Thanks

is the pipe size the only difference?
If so i would go with the 3" size pipe. More flow and will support more hp for mods later on.

Yeah bro, as far as I can tell that's the only difference, but of course I could be wrong.
I'm starting to lean towards the 3 inch model.
Anyone else?

why would you even consider putting a SMALLER diameter exhaust on your car??
the 2.5" is for the v6 models
3" is for the v8s

I think you will be happy with Magnaflow. I am with mine. I bought it during a group purchase a few years back so it was under $400. It's still in great shape and I love the sound. Have fun!

Thanks bud, I was debating between the Magnaflow and Borla. Although the Borla is a great kit, it was a little too pricey for my budget. I got the Magnaflow brand new for $399.99 with FREE shipping. Hard to beat that.

That IS a really good deal. I was never as impressed with Borla as everyone else. Especially on an LS1. Sounds great on an LT1 if you wanna shell out that kind of money. Anyway, you'll love the Magnaflow and will NOT have any second thoughts!

330 shipped, new. I win. :D Guy did take a while to get it out here, but I was in Bugtussle, OK for 4 weeks, so no big deal for me. It was here Saturday when I got back in town. I installed it Sunday when it was 105*. Yowza!
Looks great, sounds even better. No drone on the freeway, mellow just cruising around, nice music at WOT. I'm happy.

I just had my Magnaflow catback installed. The stainless construction and it's deep muscular tone are excellent. The massive 3.5" tips look bad ass coming out the rear. This is a great system with a reasonable price and I would strongly recommend this to anyone looking for an exhaust upgrade.
