Hooker or Pacesettervonmoldy 05-24-2005, 11:07 PM Is there much difference between Hooker long tubes and pacesetter? fredmr39 05-25-2005, 01:19 AM Cost. 1quickTA 05-25-2005, 07:44 AM I agree - just cost. I have the Pacesetter's and could not be happier. 00ls1 05-25-2005, 10:36 AM I agree - just cost. I have the Pacesetter's and could not be happier. i second that... vonmoldy 05-25-2005, 01:29 PM Why do people buy hookers then? I wouldnt risk an STD.....seriously why buy hooker headers then? Klypto 05-25-2005, 01:30 PM i got hooker stainless LT... vonmoldy 05-25-2005, 01:36 PM Why did you decide on those? teke184 05-25-2005, 03:06 PM stainless doesn't rust...period. standard headers can rust, even coated they can chip and then rust. vonmoldy 05-25-2005, 03:44 PM stainless doesn't rust...period. standard headers can rust, even coated they can chip and then rust. I like stainless. Who makes stainless longtubes? fredmr39 05-25-2005, 04:31 PM look into Kooks breakmyfootoff 05-25-2005, 07:04 PM I got the Hookers, no particular reason other than they've been around a long time and now I can say I've got hookers in my car. :) vonmoldy 05-25-2005, 10:40 PM makes sense  Jack D Ripper 05-26-2005, 09:13 PM Save your money and get the QTP stainless headers. Do it right the first time. vonmoldy 05-27-2005, 03:17 AM Save your money and get the QTP stainless headers. Do it right the first time. It appears they dont make LT1 headers Kataklysm 05-27-2005, 09:13 AM Get KOOKs, stainless steel = the best and kooks makes a large steped header. I have pace setters, they are crap...they were on the car when I got them so I didn't have a choice. They are a year old and all the coating is coming off, the y pipe changes sizes and the welds on the headers are terrible. You get what you pay for, if they can sell parts for half the price of other companies theres reasons for it...cheaper materials. vonmoldy 05-27-2005, 09:19 PM Man if i had tons o' cash I would buy some 900 headers but i would like to buy used and cheap but not craptastic. to save some dough. So what would fill these requirements? breakmyfootoff 05-27-2005, 09:22 PM I see the coated headers going for around 300 to 400 dollars pretty often, I just sold a a set of coated hooker LTs for 350.00. slackr392 05-27-2005, 09:33 PM what ever u do stay away from pacesetter ive heard they are such junk id go with the hookers but if u can afford the kooks go with them | ||
