any have there coils mounted in this location? pictures?

Delteq or LTCC??? I've got my Delteq coilpacks mounted cross-wise on the intake between the cowl and Shock-Tower bar... Don't have pics online yet, but it works great. none of my plug wires are over 2' and all are almost the same length.

either brand- i just don't like the idea of them being over my polished valve covers with LT1 stamped on them

The way I have mine mounted would be perfect then, I can e-mail you pics if you want...

I basically modified the Valve-cover mount by removing the mounting bosses, and drilling 4 holes; then just fabbing up 2 aluminum rails about 10" long which mount using the 4 Fuel-Rail bolts; then the Valve-cover mount bolts to those 2 rails. Worked awesome.
