Im looking to buy this exhaust for my newly purchased 85 iroc z28.

http://www.borla.com/applications/lookup.aspx/1985/Chevrolet/Camaro/Z28+Iroc-ZStainless_Steel_Cat-Back_3_Adjustable_System/14888/

But judging by the picture it doesnt look like it will fit. My current exhaust goes up from the muffler over some stuff then comes back down a little further on. Like the 93-02 camaros.

Does the Borla exhaust just sit low and go under everything?
Anyone installed one before. Is it easy?

Ive never done any mods to a car before so i dont want to run into huge problems.

Thx for any help.

First off, 95% of stock third gen exhausts are run pretty much the same way as a 4th gen. ypipe, to a single pipe down the passenger side, up and over the rear axle, and then into one muffler with two outlets.

The Borla system does the same. Personally I wouldn't waste the money though. Borla fit and finish is crappy, and they are very expensive. Look into a Hooker Aerochamber system, they sound pretty good, and are around $300.

thx for the info. Ive taken the car to an exhaust shop and he had a look and said that the exhaust has already been worked on and i wouldnt gain anything by changing it. So ill just put some tips on and leave it at that.
