Hi.
I'm about to order a new "custom made chip" (made for my new cam setup).
I need some advice about EGR.
Shall I ask for EGR delete or leave it as it is at standard setup?
I have AIR delete, Cat. delete and AC delete at my car right now.
Is that something to mention in a new chip?
Something else to remember?

i probably would....i did, but i switched to HSR and I had to...All EGR does is recerculate exhaust gas and make your intake all carboned up...sounds not so good to me...you can delete it without having a custom chip burnt, all it'll do is throw an error code...but if you have to have a chip burnt for new mods, i'd probably delete the EGR as well....

EGR does quite a bit more than carbon up the intake (although that is a nasty side effect.) It cools the combustion chamber under part throttle which allows you to run more timing without detonation. This reduces emissions without sacrificing performance, and actually helps PREVENT carbon buildup inside the combustion chamber.
That said, if your cam has a fair amount of overlap, it will create the same effect (intake valve opens while there is still exhaust in the cylinder,) which kind of makes EGR pointless.
And mail-order chips are only slightly better than nothing. Certainly not worth the money IMHO.
